Glenn Hughes, the only child of William and Sheila Hughes, grew up in his hometown. His educational background is unclear, save that he dropped out of school at the age of 15 to pursue a career as a musician. Glenn started out as a bassist and singer in various rock bands, including the Hooker Lees and The News in early 1967, before joining Finders Keepers and another funk rock band named Trapeze, all of which represented the start of his professional musical career and the foundation of his net worth. He released three studio albums with Trapeze: “Trapeze” (1970), “Medusa” the next year, and “You Are The Music…We’re Just The Band” the following year (1972). He was invited to join Deep Purple to replace bassist Roger Glover the next year, so he departed Trapeze. His first big effort with the band was the album “Burn” in 1974, followed by “Stormbringer” later that year. They produced one more studio album, “Come Taste The Band” (1975), and a series of live recordings before disbanding two years later, all of which contributed significantly to his personal worth. Despite this, Glenn pursued a solo career, releasing his first studio album “Play Me Out” in 1977.
