Roxane Berard (born January 21, 1933) is a Belgian-born actress who appeared as the main woman in thirty-four separate American television programmes between 1958 and 1967, all of which were based in Belgium. The episode “The Case of the Fifty Millionth Frenchman” from the Perry Mason television series in which she portrayed Ninette Rovel, who killed her husband Armand, was one of her most memorable roles. It was impossible not to compare Berard to fellow Belgian Audrey Hepburn, with whom she was unavoidably and constantly compared, particularly since they were so similar in appearance and often worked with a French accent, especially in the early years of her career.
